I couldn’t get to write this post before yearend and so I start this 2009 looking back at the music I loved during the past year. The following albums are (in my consideration) the best releases of the year. They are not the “best” albums or the most “hyped”, they are just the ones I listened to more. The list is in no particular order.

1. Evil Urges - My Morning Jacket
2. Only By the Night- Kings of Leon (this is definitely my favorite album in this year. I can’t get enough of it and seeing their concert made me loved them even more and put them in my top 5 favorite bands of all time)
3. Viva La Vida - Coldplay (they no long represent what they used to represent in my musical universe but I liked this one a lot, too)
4. Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend
5. Oracular Spectacular - MGMT
6. Day & Age - The Killers
7. We Started Nothing - The Ting Ting Tings
8. Narrow Stairs - Death Cab for Cutie
